Gonzo And Loretta File..And That Makes Five
Just across the wire, from MLB.com....today, Tuesday.....and thank you *Dawn*, for bringing it to my attention.....
BOSTON -- "Mark Loretta helped set the table for David Ortiz all season long, while Alex Gonzalez had a Gold Glove-caliber year at shortstop. On Monday, the Red Sox double-play combination became the fourth and fifth players from the Boston roster to file in the first three days of free agency."
Peter here....Add in Gabe Kapler and Wakes' batterymate, Doug Mirabelli, as well as Trot....so far. And that makes five. A handfull!

Well, we gotta do something ... we raced Dougie here to catch for Wake, and now we may lose him, but keep Wake? Jebus ... why did we even bother in the first place?
I have a whole world of comments ... but will just keep it on the d.l. for now ...
Happy Halloween to everyone !
As Frightening as a dark alley on Halloween!
Novy, I remember that RACE so well. Literally a race to get there for first pitch time! And Michael, you're in NYC...Halloween EVERY night!
With Mirabelli off, we're very short of catchers, leaving aside the issue of catching Wake.
I suppose rumours of Tek being sighted practising with a mitt the size of a frying pan and a butterfly net are to be discounted for now :)
I hope they at least keep some of the guys that they brought here for the sole purpose of having a great defense. They did their jobs, maintained one of the best Ds around, so I hope they can stay.
I too!
As last year's catcher, Mr. H., said last year...."Hey, I need a bigger glove!" Almost like Roy Scheider said, while in that boat surrounded by chum, and alone with a BIG shark........." We need a bigger boat.!!" Thanks for the so great comments.....
i will put that feature on and no hard feelings
Hey Petie, thanks for such nice comments once again on my blog! Lets band together against the anonymous users, they're just jealous that we have something worth writing about.
Take care my friend!!!
The same people who dress up for The Halloween Parade in Greenwich Village, dress up that way, any day of the week:
Point well taken, Peter!
Wow, it's nice wthout the anonymous foul mouthed BSing person. Thanks everyone!
I'll miss Mark Loretta....he plays all out every game. Whoever the Sox get to replace him will not be as good.
And Lynsey, its always great when you pop up. Talk to you soon.
