Fenway's Red Monster

Dice-K, on Fenway Park....

"I've seen it several times on TV. It's very beautiful. I'm very impressed. There's a Green Monster. My nickname in Japan is also 'Monster.' Now I will become a Red Monster."

Welcome to Boston, Daisuke. Win. Prosper. Be happy. Enjoy New England and America. And don't worry. Theo will get us a closer and another bullpen guy so your outings are successful ones. He has to.

Oh, I just wanted to add a warm greeting to the readers in Japan (!!) who stopped here yesterday. I hope you can return for your fill of all things Red Sox and Daisuke as we march towards Red Sox baseball 2007. It is an honor.

Maybe he will be a future commenter and a future Sox fan. I hope. Right now he has things to worry about, like eating. And pooping. And all that stuff. Does he have his first Sox hat yet?

CT, thanks for the first and hopefully not last comment....and I know you were being funny, because you know as well as all of us do that the Green Monster is green because it's green! Insightful! Until no one hits any pitches off, or OVER, that hallowed wall when Dice-K is pitching. No one will, frequently. But....oops, I ventured into the future. I'm better in the here and now. Hey, Rod Serling, that's your cue!....do do do do.......do do do do. We are ALL in the "Peter Zone"......nothing can be expected as it might be....but smiles are guaranteed...and that's my promise. Sayonara.
