President Gerald R. Ford 1913-2006

When the country was in the midst of Nixon's Watergate fiasco, and for the first time ever a sitting President was forced to resign his office, in stepped Gerry Ford, and he proceeded to guide our country out from the depths of confusion and upheaval and back to a better place. The only non-elected President in our country's history, he served in the nation's highest office from the summer of 1974 until Jimmy Carter's swearing in in January 1977. Mr. President, rest in peace.
