Thank You TROT

Trot Nixon was one of four players the Red Sox did not offer salary arbitration. After 8 glorious years catching everything in sight in the fabled Fenway rightfield, he will be gone. Trot, thank you so much for your expert outfield work in one of the toughest rightfields around. You will be missed. The original dirt dog, Trot Nixon.
Others not offered arbitration were Doug Mirabelli, Gabe Kaplan and, sadly because we could use him for one more year, Mark Loretta. More later on this dark and cooler Saturday morning, with the promise of Monday snow tantalizingly close.

Yes, it's going to be mighty strange to see someone other than Trot in RF next year. All year. I just hope Trot goes to a team that I like and can cheer for.
