The Yankees Get Their Guy

Andy Pettitte and the New York Yankees have renewed their vows. Pettitte will pitch for the Yankees in 2007 and have an option year for 2008. The contract is for one year at $16 million dollars and an option year for the same amount. Pettitte has agreed not to exersise the option year if he is injured. His stats while pitching for Houston? In 2005 he was 17-9 with a sparkling ERA of 2.39. And last year he came back to earth with a record of 14-13 with an ERA of 4.20. Expect similar numbers to 2006 for next year. Just a feeling.
And coming up next-are the Red Sox as good as they were last year? In a word, NO. Watch for my next post, which will be up in a couple hours, when the light of the nearly full moon gives way to the winter-diluted December sunshine.
