Clemens To Return To Yankees

HE IS DEAD TO ME.

"Clemens revealed that he'll return to the Yankees this season, making a dramatic announcement from the owner's box during the seventh-inning stretch. Clemens said this......"Well, they came and got me out of Texas and I can tell you it's a privilege to be back," Clemens said. "I'll be talking to y'all soon."

Not to me, Roger. Peter here. Pure and simple...you are dead to me! And we will wipe you out every time you dare to take the mound against us. You are a money-hungry FAT pig who is going to pitch for a last place club. Click on the title of this post for the SI article.

K, he WILL make a difference...an ERA under 3.00 hurts!

He won't have an ERA under 3.00, Peter. It won't be 5.00, but you won't see the Houston Clemens in the Bronx.
I just hope this will SHUT UP all those Red Sox Clemens sycophants out there saying what a great story it would be for Clemens to end his career "at home," break Cy Young's record, etc.

MCW, I WAS ONE OF THOSE! And it sure would have prevented exactly THIS from happening. Paps is on in the 9th....4-3 Sox...too close!

Eeew. It will be interesting to see how Clemens does at age 45 in the AL. His ERA was under 3.00 in the NL for the past three seasons, but in his most recent AL season (2003), his ERA was 3.91. He'll definitely raise the Yankees' payroll though which is always nice. ( :

You couldn't have said it any better. If he thinks he's been booed before at Fenway, he ain't seen nothing yet!

Peter, the fact that he wasn't dead to you before this should concern you. All your handwringing over Fat Fuck's effect on the Yankees is in vain, man. He will not make a significant difference for them. Except to super-size their image as money-grubbing mercenaries intent on grabbing at any brass ring that does not say "winner" on it. He should help out there...

HEY MATTY. I've never said he was dead to me because I miss MY "GLORY DAYS".....and the Sox were a part of those Bruce Springsteen-filled years. And believe it or not, Roger was too! He WILL help the Yankees...and I hate him for that. But all the joy he brought to ALL of us is over. I guess I'm too old.....we both love our Sox...and I'm sorry I raised your hackles. But he in his heyday, before the IDIOT Ducquette kicked him out, still makes me mad. Thanks!

Matty, I know my opinion will be hated by all those who didn't live through his 2 20 strikeout games, and all the joy he brought to me.So many of us. My life, my opinion....and thank you for reading me. You know your blog is one of the best. I cannot change my inner feelings, but I will be rooting as hard as I can for him to act his age.......on the mound. And that means you know what. A polarizing subject for all of us who love the Sox? Oh yes.
