Josh Hurt?????? We Hope Not!!!
After 4 innings...we all have to hope Josh Beckett is OK.......wow.....the official word is...an irritation on his right little finger. The pitching hand. This word comes at 3:18pm.
The blister demon? I hope not! WE hope not. This is the first bad health news in so so long. We all have to hope it's minor.
And it's NOT a blister, but he's out too early. Isn't he?????

They're calling it an 'avulsion'. It could be pretty serious...at least serious enough for him to miss a start or two.
It's terrible, but hey, this team is still good and if they can't win with one guy down, well then they aren't that good to begin with.

Just got home from taking my mum-in-law on a lovely Mother's day brunch cruise, and lo and behold . . . what do i see. . . a 4-0 lead in the 8th inning.
Whoo Hoo (sorry guys, but this is Big news for us) We are doing our best to gain on ya this year.

Nothing bursts Faith's bubble...she's seen it all. Faithy, it's me on Monday morning, and yes, that must have been tough. Your manager is to blame for taking out Guthrie in the first place. And then an unlikely series of events, a Fenway series of events...wow! I wish I had been on the computer when your back and forth here with some other good people was in progress. That's what makes this whole thing (blogging) so much fun. I hope, now that the O's are in 2nd place and in contention, well, at least as much as the Yanks are, that you'll come back with your comments and an O's update here and there. We'd all love it!!!

And yes, why he pulled Guthrie is beyond me, he certainly had been doing better than than the last idiot Chris Ray. Headlines today said, "Perlozzo sits down Guthrie two outs from complete game; bullpen collapses in ninth"
