BYE BYE BARD

Josh, we hardly knew ye. This is from the Boston Herald...

"Josh Bard is out and George Kottaras is in as the Red Sox backup catcher."

"The Sox placed the veteran Josh Bard on unconditional waivers this morning, and general manager Theo Epstein said, “It’s Kottaras’ job to lose right now." Bard had been on an unguaranteed contract worth $1.6 million. By cutting him before 2 p.m. today, the Red Sox are responsible for only 30 days of Bard’s contract. That is approximately 1/6 of his salary or $260,000. Bard is now an unrestricted free agent.
Kottaras will catch Tim Wakefield in a minor league game tomorrow."

Not a confidence booster to George, is it, Theo? It's his job to "WIN," not "LOSE," unless something else is in the planning stages. We'll wait. But wow, your choice of words astounds me!
