Congratulations UCONN Women Huskies...Big East Champions...Big East Tournament Champions

The UCONN women's basketball team decimated the number five team in the nation, Louisville, by a score of 75-36 in the finals of the Big East tournament. Connecticut sophomore Maya Moore, the best women's basketball player in the country, left the game with a little more than seven minutes remaining. She had 28 points, outscoring the ENTIRE Louisville team at that point of the game. They were awe-inspiring. For more on the game, just read the Hartford Courant's Jeff Jacobs' column by clicking on this post's title. You'll be glad you did...the man can write! And the UCONN women can play!! Now it's on to the NCAA tournament. They are 33-0. Good luck, Huskies. We love you. Now click on that title, if you can. Thanks. See ya.

Buchholz pitched 3 great innings yesterday. He's looking better than when last we saw him and more like a major league starter. Do you think he will be the first fill-in if one of our starters goes down (assuming Smolz isn't ready)?

BFW, I think he'll be in for Brad Penny...I don't have faith in BP's shoulder. Buchholz is READY...right?????

It sure looks like it. If not, there are some other young arms that would sure like a chance.

Do you think Brad Penny has to speak twice to get in his two cents worth?

I don't know, but I know they're going to "baby" his shoulder while Buchholz goes every five or so days. I hope Buc makes it.
