Matsuzaka Aces For Five Innings
Daisuke Matsuzaka, fresh from Japan's World Baseball Classic championship, was "on" yesterday. He pitched against fellow countryman Kenshin Kawakami of the Altanta Braves, and that seemed to rev him up. He went five innings, giving up a measly two hits and one earned run over that span. The Braves defeated the Red Sox 4-3 in 10 innings. Daisuke said this after his stellar outing...
"Luckily today, going up against Kenshin-san on the other side gave me a change to get revved up,” Matsuzaka said through an interpreter. “When I’m going up against any Japanese player, whether pitcher or position player, I’m always keeping an eye out on what kind of game they’re going to pitch or how they’re doing in the batter’s box.”
So Boston's spring rolls on with only seven days to go until the home and season opener at Fenway. Here's the April Boston Red Sox schedule, including an early west coast trip...

Friday Evening at 6:10PM, I'll be at Citi Field, watching The Sox opening the field:
Jacoby Ellsbury, I think, will be the 1st MLB Batter in the History of Citi Field;
Videos and Pictures will appear on my blog.
That should be really exciting! Have fun & I'll look for those pics.
