Powerless Red Sox Humbled Again...NY Yankees 5 Boston Red Sox 0
The Boston Red Sox went scoreless on Saturday in a 5-0 defeat to the NY Yankees. They now have 8 hits in their last 76 at bats and have not scored a single run for 24 straight painful innings. CC Sabathia had his "A" game working and made Boston look like Little Leaguers (sorry, no disrespect to the Little League). Here's what Boston manager Terry "Tito" Francona had to say followed by a few words from second baseman Dustin Pedroia...
“The last two nights, we’ve done nothing,’’ manager Terry Francona said. “We’re in one of those things right now. We’ve faced two really good pitchers and we’ve done nothing. Because of that, we’re sitting on a couple of losses here.’’
“You go through periods like that,’’ Pedroia said. “We’re not trying to get outs. Sometimes it doesn’t work out the way we’d like it to, but we’re going to grind. There’s a lot of heart on this team. Nobody’s going to quit. We’re going to play as hard as we can every day. I promise you guys that.’’
Clay Buchholz was the hard-luck loser. He pitched well enough to win most games but was the victim of his lumberless teammates. It's "turn the page" time once again for New England baseball fans. It'll be televised nationally shortly after 8pm EDT on ESPN and ESPN HD. See ya...soon. GO SOX.

I'm thinking a diabetic coma can't be much worse.
Let's hope we hear a joyful noise tonight.
But in a diabetic coma (God forbid), we'd miss all this "fun."
Fun my ass! Have a great Sunday.
