Baltimore 3 Boston 2...Close But No Cigar

The Boston Red Sox failed to sweep the Baltimore Orioles and lost to them 3-2 in extra innings. It was Manny Delcarmen's high pitches that enabled the O's to send the game into extra innings and they took it all in the 11th inning because of the ineffectiveness of Hideki Okajima. The team flew to Cleveland to start a 4 game set yesterday and here are the pitching matchups...

I have too much to do on this Monday morning and not enough time to do it so I will make this post a brief one. The Sox had their chances but did not capitalize. That's the best way to sum up the game. Lackey was good and that's great to know but Boston couldn't plate that one run to go ahead.
