I'm Going Down, Down, Down, Down

This post's title explains what the Boston Red Sox are busy doing right now. They're drowning with periods of treading water. Sure, I know they are a very injured ball club and two fifths (not counting Wakes, who is bullpen bound) of their premiere pitching rotation has been injured but that will change today. Clay Buchholz is ready to go late night tonight and Josh Beckett will toe the rubber Thursday. That gives the Sox a rotation of Lester, Beckett, Lackey, Buchholz and Matsuzaka. Looks good, doesn't it? Now all they need to do is score 5 runs per game, or somwhere near that. They lost to Oakland by an eleven inning 5-4 score last night. The Red Sox jumped out to a 4-0 lead behind Tim Wakefield but couldn't hold it. A four run third inning did him and his team in once again. That might be Timmy's last start...for now.

It's Buchholz versus Gonzales tonight in Oakland. I'd love to see a great Buchholz start. Thanks for stopping in and as always, BE WELL. I left a treat for you when you click on this post's title. I've run it twice before but because of all the feedback, let's go for three. Click on the title and bookmark the site. It's a must. Bye now.
