Red Sox News & Notes

Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz will make one start at Triple A Pawtucket, three or four innings, before coming back to the big club. Terry Francona said it's just a case of being cautious. Here's Tito...

"The thought was by that time it's like he's pitched one inning in about 20-something days," Francona said. "That's not very realistic that he's going to get very deep into the game, so the more we thought about it, the more we talked to him, I think we're all in agreement to go pitch three or four innings, shake the rust off, make sure he's OK."

I agree with the skipper. Adrian Beltre will NOT go on the DL list. Good news...finally! Now, Texas invades Fenway Park before an extended road trip. Here are the scheduled pitching match-ups...

7/15 Hunter vs. Wakefield
7/16 Doubrant vs. Lewis
7/16 Lackey vs. Lee
7/17 Lester vs. Wilson

Let's start off the second half right by putting together a winning streak right off the bat. Click on this post's title to be zapped to more Red Sox info and as always, BE WELL.
