Boston's Farrell Might Be Toronto Bound

This would be a loss for the Red Sox, a big one. Peter Gammons reported earlier today that Toronto's first choice for manager would be just about the best pitching coach in all of MLB. That would be Boston's John Farrell. Here you go...

"The Toronto Blue Jays continue to reduce their list of managerial candidates, inching closer to making a final decision on who will replace Cito Gaston. According to one report, Toronto may be ready to reveal its choice by next week. A report by Comcast Sportsnet New England's Sean McAdam on Wednesday indicated that the Blue Jays have narrowed their list of contenders down to three: Indians first-base coach Sandy Alomar Jr., Red Sox bench coach DeMarlo Hale and Red Sox pitching coach John Farrell."

If John goes, we should all thank him for his magical and positive attempts, mostly successful, to harness the Red Sox talented starters. In fact, he will be sorely missed. I hope every one of you has a great weekend. Hey, the pinstripers are in another "do or die" situation out in Arlington. The game will be televised on TBS and TBS HD beginning at 7:30pm EDT. Go Rangers! That would make this weekend a GREAT ONE. If not today, Cliff Lee tomorrow. I hope he won't be needed until game one of the upcoming World Series.
