Yankees Lose..Giants Win

The NY Yankees are in a 3-1 hole after last night's 10-3 loss. They also have to remember that even if they win the next two, starting tonight in NYC, Cliff Lee awaits them for game seven. Yankees pitcher AJ Burnett gave up five runs in his six innings of work and that was all she wrote. There's more bad news for the pinstripers. Mark Teixeira felt his hamstring "pop" and likely has played his last 2010 inning. The two go at it again in game five this afternoon. Here are the game times for the AL and the NL...

Texas at NY Yankees** 4:07 PM TBS ** Wilson vs Sabathia
Philadelphia at San Francisco ** 7:57 PM FOX** Blanton vs Bumgarner

The SF Giants beat the Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 3-0 behind the pitching of Matt Cain, who was great. SF leads this series 2-1. Here's the man himself...

"I think this is probably the top one I've ever pitched. To be able to pitch in the postseason is great, and to be able to throw the ball well and help your team win is a great feeling."

So the Yankee's season might be over around seven pm edt. One can only hope. I do not see them winning three games in a row. No way, no how, especially with Cliff Lee ready to pitch game seven (if needed). The Phillies, in my opinion, will tie their series tonight. At least I hope so. Hey Rangers, bury dem bums!
