Red Sox Complete Three Game Sweep Of Yankees With An 8-3 Victory...Pedey OK
The Boston Red Sox completed a well deserved three game sweep over the NY Yankees with an 8-3 victory over the pinstriped pinheads yesterday. After a three hour twenty seven minute rain delay, the Sox quickly were down 2-0 after one inning. That's the way the score stayed until the Sox scored seven runs in the seventh inning. That was all she wrote as Boston cruised from there. Josh Beckett started and pitched seven innings, giving up a respectable four hits and two runs. Albers and Wheeler followed with two innings of respectable ball (one run on one hit combined) and the sweep was official. Here's our starter, Josh Beckett...

It was fun and now Boston has a two game lead over NY (one in loss column) in the AL East race. Meanwhile, back on the Dustin Pedroia health watch, it looks like Boston's second baseman WILL NOT need surgery on his right knee..
