Should'a Would'a But Didn't..Sox Lose Again

The Boston Red Sox Friday night at Fenway lost by a score of 3-1. The magic hit was impossible. They're just not hitting with the no-DH inter league lineup. They've scored 2 runs in their last 19 innings. No more bashing the ball and they have 8 more road games at National League fields. It hurts that David Ortiz only had a pinch hitting at bat in the eighth inning. As he stepped to the plate, he said this...

“First of all, what’s wrong with Mother Nature? I’m just walking to the plate and it started pouring. What’s up with that?’’

You can't fool Mother Nature, Big Papi. She saw you coming. Maybe she's a Yankee fan. Here's the Boston manager, Tito Francona...

“We had it going so good for so long. You want the good streaks to be long and the bad ones to be short.’’

And lastly, Marco Scutaro on the changed lineup and this losing funk...

“We miss David, but we knew this was coming. We still have to find a way to score. This team is still good enough to score some runs. A couple of days of this is enough. We need to score some runs.’’’

I hope we've seen the end of it and will begin again our winning ways. The Red Sox are still clinging to first. It could be a ton worse. Click on this post's title for more Sox stuff and as always, STAY WELL.
