WOW! Nine Wins In A Row For The White Hot Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox throttled the Toronto Blue Jays yet again Sunday, this time by a score of 14-1. This team reminds Big Papi David Ortiz of the '04 and '07 world championship ones. After the game, which the Red Sox dominated, Papi spoke on exactly that...

“Very dangerous. This team is very dangerous right now. I have seen this before. When you’re losing games and you have a good team, it’s hard to figure things out sometimes. Sometimes you figure it out and what is happening right now is what happens. That’s why everybody was going crazy when we were losing all those games at the beginning of the season. Because if you go position by position, you can match this team against anybody in the league. It’s what everybody expected."

Jon Lester earned his AL leading ninth victory with only one run and two hits given up. He was on top of his game. As I mentioned before, Big Papi David Ortiz clobbered a huge home run. He had four RBIs, as did Kevin Youkilis, who was given the day off on Saturday. This team, hitters 1-9, is devastating at the plate and if you're a member of Red Sox Nation like me, you'll treasure every moment. We're in it to stay...for now.

The Sox start a three game series with the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. They have a much-needed day off today. Here are the pitching match ups with game times included...

Tue. 14 at TB** 7:10 PM ET NESN/SUN** T. Wakefield (3-1) vs. J. Shields (5-4)

Thu. 16 at TB** 7:10 PM ET NESN/SUN** C. Buchholz (5-3) vs. D. Price (7-5)
