A Nice Win For Boston 7-5...YES!!

Tim Wakefield didn't exactly throw a gem Friday night down in sultry Texas but with the help of his team's bats, the Boston Red Sox prevailed in Houston, Texas by a score of 7-5. The Red Sox needed to put together a six run seventh to pull this one off and if not for the lumber, they would have lost. Wakes was only able to go 5 1/3 innings, throwing too many pitches and giving up 11 hits (too many), and five runs (too much). But the bottom line is the Good Guys came out on top. The Yankees are on a hot streak so the Red Sox must keep pace. These two teams go at it again this evening at 7:05pm EDT. GO SOX!
