Good-Bye Inter-League Play

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Houston Astros in their last inter-league game of the year. If it wasn't so early this morning, i'd let out a loud YESSSSSSS! But it's not even 5 am and I like living here. So mum's the word.

Josh Beckett pitched another gem against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The final score was 2-1 and Josh went eight strong innings and gave up just five hits, one run and he whiffed 11. He must be feeling great. Lets hope so.

Here are the man from Texas and his manager, Terry Francona...

“Coming here and winning three, it’s tough to sweep a series on the road, or at home for that matter. Josh and his manager think the energy level was up! I just felt better physically, energy-wise.’’

“Obviously, I thought he was tremendous.

Anybody who thought he wasn't should recheck his baseball knowings. Here's the three game pitching match-ups against the Toronto Blue Jays...

Mon. 4 Tor 1:35 PM ET** RSN/NESN** J. Lackey (5-7) B. Morrow (4-4)
Tue. 5 Tor 7:10 PM ET** RSN/NESN** J. Lester (10-4) B. Cecil (1-3)
Wed. 6 Tor 7:10 PM ET** RSN/NESN** T. Wakefield (4-3) R. Romero (7-7)

Have a healthy and happy 4th of July.
